Aiste Dvarionaite biography was defined by being born into the world of music. Since early childhood she was continuously surrounded by the sounds of live music, chamber music performances, prominent artists visiting their home, and queues of students keen to have yet another instrumental extra lesson. Not surprisingly, the environment she grew up in was not only full of creativity, but also demanded of Aiste as an upcoming musician high work ethics, self-drive, ultimate commitment, and relentless focus on results. Being mediocre has never been a way.
Today Aiste Dvarionaite carries on the traditions of one of the most famous dynasties of Lithuanian musicians - the Dvarionas. Her grand-grandfather Dominic Dvarionas was an organist and a well-known expert of musical instruments. Of his twelve children eleven grew up to be musicians. His son Balys Dvarionas became an internationally known composer, conductor of Vilnius Philharmonic Symphony orchestra. He and his wife Aldona Dvarioniene and were also piano professors at the Lithuanian Music Academy. Aldona Dvarionaite, Aiste’s aunt, was amongst the most welcomed pianist in Poland. Aiste’s brother Justas Dvarionas is a very successful musician, public figure and pianist. He also accepted the role of Vice President of EMCY - Europea Union of Music Competitions for Youth.
Aiste Dvarionaite's father and violin teacher Jurgis Dvarionas is an internationally known violin professor. He was taught in Moscow State Conservatory by Prof Boris Belenky, a pupil of exceptional violinist Lev Zeitlin, who himself was a raised by the very Leopold Auer, one of the greatest violin teacher of our times. Hence, it comes with no surprise, Aiste was destined to follow this well-established musicianship path and to keep transferring the best violin school traditions to her students in London.
Aiste’s professional training how to play violin started when she was 4 years old. At the age of 6 Aiste was already giving recitals with national orchestras.
Aiste Dvarionaite went to National M.K. Ciurlionis Arts School in Vilnius and completed her post-graduate studies in Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre. Her career as a violin teacher began when she was still studying in the school.
Over years, in addition to the formal education, Aiste Dvarionaite attained excellence under the supervision and advice from many famous violinists, such as Prof. Zenon Brzewski, Prof. Alexander Fisher, Prof. Marina Jashwili, Prof. Wolfgang Marschner, Prof. Sergey Kravchenko.
Aiste Dvarionaite biography is full of many international musicianship events. She also taught students how to play violin at numerous international violin masterclasses in Spain, Sweden, Germany, Russia, Poland, France, UK and Belgium. Aiste delivered dozens of solo recitals with Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, Minsk Chamber Orchestra, Lithuanian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Lithuanian Music Academy Chamber Orchestra, and Junges Stuttgarter Bach Ensemble.
Aiste's performance radiates maturity, warmth, love and elegance. The artist said once that "Music is the essence of my life" and she has definitely been generously sharing her passion for music with young musicians from around the world.
Aiste is following the mission once described by the quote of her grandfather Balys Dvarionas: 'I believe in a musician’s vocational call to promote beauty, good, and harmony'.
